Creative Director, Content Strategist, Writer, + Filmmaker
Bridging the gap between vision & execution
For decades, brands chased ideas dictated by data and ended up in a world of sameness. That's only accelerating with AI. We've lost the nerve for real creative risk and settled for good enough.
You don't need just a director, or a strategist, or a writer. You need someone who can do all three, and make it look easy: creative direction, content strategy, and the writing, or ghostwriting, to back it up. The throughline is always the same: I start with the creative idea most likely to move people and build it toward a measurable result.
Meet Arestia
My clients call me their content quarterback, because I'm more than just an idea person. I build the creative and strategy that gets attention, and deliver real business impact, whether that's a campaign, a piece of content, or the book you've been meaning to write.
Across the major industries I’ve worked in—film & television production, advertising, and media—I’ve always done the same thing: create passionate storytelling that makes a difference.
Fifteen-plus years working with brands and startups, founders and thought leaders. Experienced enough to have the vision and strategy. Gritty enough to get it done. Your partner to see it all through, start to finish.
Creative Direction + Content Strategy
I lead the ideation, strategy, management, and execution behind content your audience actually wants to spend time with.
Book Ghostwriting
For thought leaders ready to finally write the book they've been meaning to, using my proven, signature process to get organized and past the overwhelm.
Directing + Producing
Seasoned, award-winning producer and director from story/idea development through production and post-production, specializing in short documentaries.
I directed and produced a short documentary following a former refugee and gang member who started a hip hop and breakdancing school in Cambodia, giving underprivileged youth a path to education. Here's the trailer. It premiered at the Cambodia International Film Festival and went on to official selections at the LA Asian Film Festival, DC Shorts International Film Festival, and International Film Festival Boston.
Part of the award-winning "Nearest Faraway Place" series, I was the creative director for the campaign and directed a video series about finding adventure in your own backyard.
A pro bono project benefiting survivors of the Boston Marathon Bombing, this is part of a video series on survivors experiencing some of the many letters of support and talking about life one year after the tragic event.
The Home Team is part of the Webby award-winning Responsibility Project. An official selection for SXSW, AFI DOCS and Sarasota film festivals, this video helped to raise brand awareness by 15%, was one of the most popular pieces of content on the site.
“Arestia is, by far, one of the most talented creatives and producers I’ve ever worked with. We first collaborated to build a content marketing practice at a top agency, and I hired her again to lead brand creative at The Daily Beast. Her taste, drive and smarts are all among the best I’ve seen. Total star.”
—Mike Dyer, Chief Product Officer at The Washington Post, Former CEO of The Daily Beast
“Working with Arestia to create the brand language for Portico was a delight. Although my ideas were not always eloquently expressed, through Arestia’s detailed process, she garnered the essence of what I meant. Any time I expressed hesitation, Arestia kept us on track and found creative new paths forward. Ultimately, she brilliantly transformed our conversations into a clear voice that embodied the spirit of Portico. By considering the various facets of our brand, Arestia expertly created a fulsome set of brand guidelines that enabled anyone to quickly understand the Portico brand. It also allowed us to continue to work together seamlessly to create new content, such as articles, newsletters, emails, and social posts. I look forward to working with Arestia time and time again. She’s incredibly talented and creates magic out of ideas that are often complex to explain.
—Jacqueline Hampton, Founder & CEO of Portico
"Although Arestia Rosenberg’s name is not on my second book cover, it should be. Writing and publishing a book involves many skilled professionals in a variety of roles. A critical part of my project was having a creative, clever, and collaborative brainstormer. That is Arestia in a nutshell. Her talent, storytelling expertise, and ability to ignite the creativity needed to jumpstart 'The Moment That Will Define Your Life' were exceptional. From ideation to completion, she was critical at the project’s onset. Enormous credit to her for being such a candid and caring partner. If you are contemplating a book idea, Arestia will be a vital piece of your journey."
—Chuck Garcia, Thought Leader, Speaker, + Executive Coach at Climb Leadership International
What working together actually looks like
Most ideas don't fail for lack of vision. They stall in execution. The campaign that never gets made, the book that stays a half-finished draft for years…Here's what it looks like when they don't:
• A newsletter that grew from 291 to 6,211 subscribers in three years
• A membership campaign that hit 200% of its goal in the first run
• A branded video campaign that beat industry viewership by 94%
• Book deals with Penguin Random House, HarperCollins, and McGraw-Hill, some landing six- and seven-figure advances
• A Webby Award, plus official selections at SXSW and AFI DOCS
